My Favourite New Beauty Products

I’ve been woefully poor at posting about Beauty over the past six months so I’m trialling a few new series to get things going again. The first of which will be to post something beauty related every Sunday — which for me was always a time I used to devote to brush cleaning, nail painting and for that weekly mask. Some people go to church on a Sunday, and others go to the bathroom and find nirvana in a really good exfoliation and pedicure……..

Without further ado, I’d like to present the first post in this here series: Stuff I Really Want to Buy (but Oli won’t let me).

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

It’s no secret I have sensitive skin, prone to breakouts so I’m pretty picky with what I use on my face. I’ve long been a Clinique devotee, but as a Beauty junkie I’m often itching for whatever product I’m using to run out quicker so I can get my next fix in. Cetaphil is one on my list for two reasons, it’s cheap (¬£8.99 from Boots for 236ml), dermatologist recommended and it has a pump!

Advanced Night Repair

How do I love this product, let me count the ways….or something like that. Anyway, I did count the ways in this post, and I’ve now run out so here’s hoping I get one for my birthday hint, hint.

La Roche Posay Physiological Cleansing Scrub

I LOVE La Roche Posay, and have been using their physiological cleansing gel for around a year now. It’s really good value and I will definitely be buying more before I head back to Thailand in Jan (perhaps when I go to France?!). Anyway, I need a new exfoliator as I recognise that not taking one with me on my travels was an epicfail but I’m picky (shock!). I don’t like a scrubby scrub (the type where you can see the rocks grains) and I want something that won’t stress my very stressy skin out. Enter the Physiological Ultra Fine Cleansing Scrub. I also want this LRP moisturiser with a name too long to type….

L’Oreal Sublime Bronze Firming Tan Enhancer

Now, I know I have a tan and I am very very lucky to have spent the last 6 months getting said tan but seriously — HOW DO I KEEP IT! That is an actual question I asked google the other day and I already knew the answer: moisturise, moisturise and moisturise a little bit more. I am now lusting after this product, which Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup chatted about in her recent Boots Beauty Haul video.

Hand Chemistry Hyaluron Concentrate

This is a strange one as I thought it was hand sanitiser at first glance. It’s not! It’s only flipping moisturiser with 19% Hyaluron in to supercharge it. I WANT IT. Please see reasons above as to why….

Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream, Body Shop

Tea Tree BB Cream

Tea Tree BB Cream

I am partial to both BB cream, Tea Tree (crap skin!) AND The Body Shop so this ticks all of my notsohardtoplease boxes. There is that nuisance of ‘3 shades suit’ all, which annoys me but I think I could safely plump for shade 2 at the mo. I

t doesn’t state that there are any skincare benefits from the tea tree, but reading the comments on the website — people are loving its spot reducing work so I’m sold. Even better, Halifax customers get a 10% cashback at the moment for shopping at TBS so I think it would be rude not to.

As always, please leave comments and let me know what Beauty products you’re lusting after this sunny Sunday!

I also worry about a tan (as you know a fake tan addict) BUT I haven’t used any for months now, I was lucky enough to have two holidays close together but also Decleor Aromessence Solaire is basically a miracle, it’s an oil that apparently brings the melanin to the surface of the skin, using it a couple of weeks before your holiday, making you more likely to tan without burning also prevents heat rash and if you continue to use it once you get back it makes it last longer xxxxx
