Bank Holiday Beauty (& Stuff)

Bank Holiday Beauty (& Stuff)

What a ridiculous title, given that a) this post has relatively little to do with the fact that it’s a bank holiday, and b) includes non beauty products…..but you can’t let that semi alliteration slide.

I thought I would do a little product pushing for all of you heading to the shops this weekend. I am living vicariously through you, as the only shop I will be going near is the very small shop in the village that for 2 hours each morning sells bread, and only bread.

1) Typographic ‘Stuff’ from Tiger – £2

I am desperate for a giant O & L to put on our wall, so I was super duper tempted by the treats I found at Tiger recently. They have doorknobs, mugs….actually I think that’s it, but I love them.

2)  Una Brennan Superfacialist Rose Miracle Oil £9.99

After the partying I imagine you will be doing this weekend (not jealous at all……), you’ll need Monday to recover with a big hearty brunch, a Bloody Mary and a lovely Super Facial Oil. This one is dreamy.

3) & Other Stories Eyeshadow Quad in ‘Sateen Aubergine’

Oh, I J’adore & Other Stories for their rebellious misuse of grammatical rules and whimsical styling. I have never tried their Beauty but this autumnal hued pallette caught my eye. Worth a try I’d say.

4) City Splits Running Capri’s – Sweaty Betty (£75)

These are the jazzziest running leggings I’ve ever seen and I am desperate to give you an image (damn you google image!) but I’m kinda obsessed. I want the whole outfit!

On another note – did you know that once you sign up to Sweaty Betty’s loyalty card scheme (which I did by just buying one of their cheap water bottles) you can go to any of their fitness classes all over London , for free?! What an amazingly good scheme.

5) Eat.Some.Meat…..at one of London’s many carnivorous kitchens around the city.

Patty and Bun

My faves? Meat Liquor, Patty & Bun, Hawksmoor. Yummers. If you are a veggie, I apologise and offer up Mildred’s, which is divine.

If you are heading to Carnival; enjoy, be safe and eat stacks of curried goat and rice…..yuuuum.

Happy Bank Holiday Weekend!
