Woop! It’s the return of the packing list post.
It’s been so damn long since I wrote a travel post I’d almost forgotten how. I know that sounds strange, but travel hasn’t been part of my life for most of this year (due to you know who!) so I haven’t been reading anything let alone writing it.
So it’s only fitting I ease myself back into travel writing with a good old fashioned packing list post. My favourite type of post to read AND write. Honestly! If you want to see just how much I love writing these kinda posts, head on over here to the travel packing archives 😉
Welcome to episode TEN of What She Said!
Sam Sparrow is my actual real life friend. So this is one of those awesome chats where we are literally sat in my living room, with tea and custard tarts just having a good natter. These are my FAVOURITE chats…..hence why everyone I invite on the show is someone I know I’m gonna have a laugh with.
Oh man, I don’t want you to think this is one big bitch about all the things that went wrong on my wedding day because, honestly, it’s not.
If you were a guest, I really wouldn’t scan through this post hoping to find a thinly veiled version of yourself and me moaning about you. Because it’s not a post about rubbish wedding guests either, I’ve already written that one 😉
It’s also not a digging for compliments exercise, where I bemoan my lack of perfect body and terrible hair etc and you diligently compliment me. It’s not that.
Meeting people online is weird to ‘normal’ people I think. But for us bloggers? We are so used to being online all day. errr’y day finding a tribe out there and making connections on social media is completely normal. And I’ve honestly never met one of my online crushes IRL and been disappointed.
Same goes for Beverley who, to be honest, I still haven’t met IRL. But I did the next best thing which was to have a natter on Skype. I’m hoping the audio quality of these episodes is getting better each week as I learn. But being a mum of a chirpy little newborn it’s never gonna be free from her gargles, hiccups and occasionally sneezes. There’s a wee warning for you.
Now, onto this weeks episode!
I guess I should use the correct terminology which I believe is ‘postpartum’, but I hate that term. It’s weird. Anyway, wording aside, here we are finally chatting to each other. It’s been about a month since I last posted (not including the podcast show notes) which is easily the LONGEST time I’ve gone without writing to you since I started blogging about four years ago.
