Hello, I’m Lucy!
I’m a freelance journalist, blogger, & podcaster.
In essence, I create content for ethically-conscious women. I’m here to help you live a more sustainable life – whether that’s by making the transition to a vegan diet or adopting other low impact lifestyle choices (or perhaps both!)
I know how overwhelming it can be to start making these changes and I believe in a judgment-free approach: we’re all doing the best we can with what we have and what we know. Trust me, I’m far from perfect!
And I believe in being totally honest about my journey. My approach is to break it down into super simple steps that are easy to implement and stick to. Otherwise, it’s way too easy to get stuck in decision paralysis.
This is a journey and we move along it by putting one foot in front of the other. We’re all in this together, learning as we go.
So how can I help?
I create lots of content each week. Here’s where you can get your fix:
On Zero by Lucy I share my favourite zero waste swaps for living a low impact lifestyle.
I host and produce a podcast about blogging and creativity called What She Said every Monday.
You can find me chatting about the mundanities of daily life on Instagram, where I also produce IGTV videos.
You’ll find me ranting chatting about work on Twitter every damn day.
AND If you’d like more zero waste and vegan tips, blogging advice and general musings – sign up to get my monthly letters.
Want to know a bit more about how I got here?
I started blogging about five years ago while travelling which used to be a HUGE part of my life (my husband and I were digital nomads for almost three years non-stop!) That’s why there’s so much travel content here. In fact, my very first byline was with Lonely Planet Traveller magazine and I’ve continued to write about travel for newspapers and magazines ever since.
My transition to a low impact life has been a super slow journey that I’ve been taking over the past year in an attempt to reduce my carbon footprint, the waste I produce and the negative effect my actions have on the world.
As an environmentalist, I’m vegan and even my carnivorous husband has joined my plant-based lifestyle too (although, he occasionally partakes in a steak!)
You can listen to the reasons why I’m vegan in the player below…….
Thanks for stopping by!
